              5th Annual Outdoor Christian Festival

This is the year that we, being led by the Lord look to move Son Fest to the next level.

Son Fest began humbly enough as a simple outdoor concert back in 2006. Our desire was to reach out to the area through music and at the same time to restore some dignity to our community. it was an all-day event with strictly local talent.

In 2007 the concert was moved to a field on the corner of FM 726 & 1968, next to Four Corners Grocery. The crowd got bigger but so did the problems related to putting on such an event. So it was decided to take a year off and seek God's face and direction for this project.

Last year, Son Fest resumed with renewed zeal and a fresh vision. The concert returned to the original site in Lake Deerwood Estates and the number of bands was trimmed down to six. The Lord gave us a vision of a true festival with more than just music. Many ministries were added along with drama and a Fun Zone for kids. Greater promotion through social media as well as partnerships with area churches , businesses & individuals were all a part of moving this event towards becoming a truly great experience worthy of our Lord.

2010 marked a really big milestone for the festival, as we brought in our first big name acts. The ministry aspect of Son Fest grew together with the addition of a truly first-class speaker and the expansion of the Fun Zone; all this made last year's festival the best ever. We have seen God do many great things through the Festival the first few years! Lives have been changed. Relationships have been healed. Friendships have been started, and are renewed each year. Enjoy the concert, and be open to the ministry that God can do in you and through you!
